More from Vegas

I have tons of pics from this trip to Vegas so im going to have to break them up and proof a few at a time when I have time. Here are a few more out of the bunch I have. Vegas is a fun and colorful place and any one that has a love for photography can go crazy there, but on the other hand when your with someone that has no intrest in photography it makes it harder to stop at every thing and try to get a good sharp picture without making them stop everytime you do and wait till you set up your shot. But I have to admit DH is pretty patient with me and he also looks out for great photo opp's and points them out for me and also has the patience to help me switch lenses non stop, lol.

Las Vegas

DH and I went to Las Vegas for Memorial weekend, We had a great time. We walked a lot this weekend and seen a lot, The new (the Wynn) was beautiful and very high class, I will add pictures of it once I get them edited but for now here are a few.

Dandelion

This little thing was so hard to shoot but I think I got it. I upped the contrast a little to make the green stand out some.

Variety of color

I was just messing around in PS and started changing the colors on this flower so this is what I came up with, you like?

Sunset

Well this does nothing for me and the only reason im posting it is because it's last weeks theme and I didnt' get a chance to post anything last week. Hopefully this week I can get this weeks theme sometime before the week is over, lol.

Old Church

Im assuming this is an old church by the structure. The inside of this place looked like someone had lived in it by all the junk that was all over the place, it was kinda scary being there but DH was with me so it wasn't that bad

Movie props

These are stored in a place right down the street from El Mirage Ca right outside of Lancaster. They are used in some movies along with other old vehicles and planes.

Got balls

Just messing around with some balls and high key.

Artists

while driving to the movie set in Palmdale I drove past these 3 painters on the side of the road and it looked unusual so I turned around and asked if I could take their pics and they were really friendly and had no problem with me snapping a few shots.

Movie set

While driving around I found another movie set that wasn't to far from the first one I posted. Im not able to find out which movies were filmed here but the same night after I got these shots I was watching TV and the show Dirt was playing and they had a scene done at this location.

Tequitos

Yummy tequitos but this food theme sucks, lol. I went to dinner and I can't even believe myself that I took my camera in with me, I did these pretty low so no one would see me but a few people did anyways, lol. Oh well this is the best I got considering I wastrying to do it under cover :D

Waterdrops

I seriously need to add something to my blog, It's been way to long now. I need more practice with this but this is my first try at doing the waterdrops.

What makes my life easier

I have to many things that makes my life easier but this is something that im sure makes each and every one of us life's easier. I love my car and everyday I get in it I still love driving it, I love just getting in it on a nice warm evening and driving around with the windows rolled down and the Top open.

This one was taken a long time ago but I like the shot and my car reminds me of a jet when I get in it.

I love pink

I am so behind with this POTD and I feel like I been out of the loop to long so even though this is not this weeks theme I love the color of this flower. DS's girlfriend (Crystal) had her tonsils removed and wasn't feeling good after her surgery so I bought these for her to cheer her up a little.

I haven't had time to really capture anything these last few days so I desided to add a few more from the zoo that I used the color pop on.

Easy rest inn & Gas station

This place is about 15 min from my house, It's used only for movies and music video's. The movies that I have heard that was filmed here was Rob zombie,The devil's reject, Torque and I understand it was built to film Eye of the Storm. I'm not sure how long it's been there but everytime I drive to it they are filming something, they do a lot of low budget movies also. It is on private property so I stopped and asked the guy who was there taking care of the place if I could get a couple of shots and he was sweet enough to let me.

The technique I used for these were a color pop.

The Zoo

Just a few shots I got at the zoo, I was surprised how good 2 of them came out considering I had to shoot these through a fence.

I found this old abandoned building out in the desert, not sure what it was used for but thought it was intresting. I like the graffiti on the side of this building. I used the Orton technique on it and also used a cloud brush to add to the sky to bring it out some.
