Variety of colors.

We had no idea the pool lights changed colors until Andy started messing around with the controller that controls the pool. There is like 15 different colors that can be set or it can be set to rotate and change through all the colors.

Bleeding Heart

I just love this plant. I wasn't able to have a bleeding heart in Lancaster because it was to dry out there so it's nice to finally have one. I added a texture to give it a canvas look.

Mama Bird

Right out of our front door in the rose bushes we found a empty nest, Yesterday Andy came home and found 2 eggs in the nest and this morning mama was sitting on her eggs. it was hard to focus in on the bird because of the branches but I got a pretty decent shot. I just hope no creatures find the nest and take the eggs.

Hummingbirds.

Without using a tripod these guys are hard to focus on.

Not sure what kind of bird this is but it was pretty with the yellow on it.

Ok im a little freaked out

This was our first snake so far. Steven and I were sitting out back waiting for his friends to get here when I look over and see what I thought was a lizard moving but took a second look and it was no lizard. I was freaking out and kept telling steven there was a snake but he didn't see it until he got off the chair and got closer, I wasn't sure what kind of snake it was and then Gilbert got here and had the courage to go up to it and said it was a rattle snake. I kept running away from it but wanted some pics to prove we had one but then Gilbert got the shovel and tried smashing it and the rattle kept shaking so he striked at it again and killed it. I always said we would get a snake because of the hill behind us but never imagined we would get one within the 5 months of living here and of all snake a rattle snake.

First one in the pool

Even though the water is still pretty cold we had a few nice warm days and Steven was hot so he jumped in, after he got in he could barely talk because it was so cold. He ended up in the spa and we turned the heat on for him and he enjoyed it. I can't wait to get in it myself but im waiting for it to warm up some :)

Outside of the house.

Adding the outside of the front and back. If you notice the before and after pics what a huge difference. The mesh on the back hill looks tacky but once all the ice plants spread and cover it will look nice, Im hoping by next spring it will all be filled in. The mesh is to keep the weeds out so it may look tacky now but will save us from a lot of work later on. We have planted a lot of flowers and bushes so I can't wait for them to all start blooming.

All moved in.

I can't believe that it's been 4 months since we moved in, time sure does fly by. Were pretty much moved in now but still have lots more to do. So far we got the living room, downstairs bathroom, upstairs hall way, spare room and my scrapbooking room painted. I really want to get the kitchen done but stuck on what color to paint it, We want to do a red but haven't found the perfect red yet so were holding off on doing the kitchen, I also don't know what color I want to do our bedroom in but im leaning towards a goldish tone. Here are a few pictures of what we done so far. I need to get one of the front but im waiting for Andy to mow it this weekend, It's finally looking good and we have grass now.

Ready to roll

Now that I changed my layout on my blog I need to start adding things to it again. It seams like I been using my IPhone to take all my pictures lately but once the weather starts to get nice and no more rain I want to get out my good camera and get back into the swing of things. I been seeing so many colorful blooms starting to come out so in a few weeks it's going to be a good time to get out my camera.
